BANKER.AM/ "Converse Bank" CJSC Enlarges the Scope and Geography of Services. 14.10.2010
Pursuant to its policy Converse Bank CJSC keeps enlarging the scope and geography of banking services typical to a universal bank, and due to it the Bank had simultaneously opened 2 branches in Kapan city, Syunik marz on October 15.
At the same time, one of the branches - PostBank Kapan 01 branch will provide postbanking services to individuals, while Kapan branch will provide a whole package of Converse Bank services to legal entities and individuals. The bank's regional back office was also launched, which will ensure and provide operations in the existing and newly opening branches of the Bank in the marz.
The RA President Serzh Sargsyan, Members of the RA Government, the RA Central Bank Chairman and other officials were present at the inauguration of the PostBank Kapan 01 Branch.
As mentioned Mr. Tigran Davtyan, Converse Bank CJSC Executive Director, Kapan was selected with purpose of enlarging the bank's geography and range of services as Converse Bank emphasized its presence in the far regions of the republic. Hence, due to its slogan "Bank for Everybody", the bank enlarges such types of services that can be available for each citizen. "I'm sure that by providing banking services in post offices of Haypost, we can facilitate and relieve daily needs of population, as by only one visit to the post office the citizen can also use the package of total banking services," he underlined.
According to the Cooperation Agreement signed by and between Converse Bank CJSC and Haypost CJSC, Converse Bank will provide the following banking services in post offices:
- Opening of savings and traditional accounts
- Foreign currency exchange
- Cash operations
- Transfers by fast money transfer systems
- Provision and maintenance of debit plastic cards - ArCa, MasterCard and VISA.
The new phase of postbanking activities kicked off on July, 2010 at the Haypost Yerevan branch no. 19.
